Overview

It is highly recommended to update the firmware should a new firmware version become available.
You can update the device in different ways.

 

 

Update Over Ethernet Via Art-Net

1] Connect MADRIX AURA to power.
[See more information in the MADRIX AURA Technical Manual & Quick Start Guide!]

2] Connect MADRIX AURA to your computer via Ethernet network.

3] In MADRIX 5, go to the menu Preferences > Device Manager... > Art-Net

4] Activate Art-Net

5] Click

6] Select the device in the list. Click . A new window opens.

7] Click Firmware
The update process will start.
The MADRIX logo on the front of the device will start to flash and the firmware will be updated.

8] Wait for the process to end [usually it takes only seconds]. A confirmation message will be shown.

9] Disconnect MADRIX AURA from Power and USB. Afterwards, connect it again.

 

 

MADRIX 5 AURA Updater

Overview

MADRIX 5 AURA Updater is a separate tool only for MADRIX AURA. It is integrated into the MADRIX 5 Device Updater.
It requires the connection over USB.

 

Usage

MADRIX LUNA Updater

MADRIX 5 AURA Updater can be used for several, specific tasks.

Updates the firmware of all AURA devices that are connected to the computer via USB. First, select the correct firmware in the list above this button [Example: AURA 1.0.000 Type V1.0 MADRIX 5.0]. Second, click the button. Third, disconnect the power after updating in order to restart the device.

Resets all settings of all AURA devices that are connected to the computer via USB to the standard values. Use this function to restore the original settings of the device.

Synchronizes the date and time of your AURA device with the local time of your computer.

Uploads a few test scenes onto the memory card of the MADRIX AURA.

Performs all actions, an AURA firmware update, a reset to factory default settings, and the test-presets upload.

 

Additional information on the status of the performed functions will be given on the right side of the window. Information is displayed from down to top [the latest information is shown at the top].

 

Important Notes

MADRIX 5 AURA Updater does not work when MADRIX 5 is running. Please close MADRIX 5 and restart MADRIX 5 Device Updater / MADRIX 5 AURA Updater.

 

Where To Find The MADRIX 5 Device Updater

The MADRIX 5 AURA Updater is included in the MADRIX 5 installation as part of the MADRIX 5 Device Updater. After installing MADRIX 5, you can find a link in the Windows Start menu:

In Windows 10, go to Start > MADRIX 5 > MADRIX 5 Device Updater

Select Load AURA and confirm with OK.

 

The original, executable program can be found in the MADRIX 5 installation directory:

C:\Program Files\MADRIX5

New timers are now set to Inactive and Action > None by default to prevent any triggering before the timer is configured correctly (#6360).

It is now possible to create custom, user-defined channel masks (#5974).

It is now possible to duplicate remote events under Remote > Remote Event List (#6183).

It is now possible to move remote events up and down in the list under Timers > Timer Event List (#6342).
