Introduction

As a special highlight, MADRIX offers you Music2Light effects. These effects incorporate advanced analytical methods to analyze music for tone theoretical parameters. MADRIX analyzes the height of tones, volume, and also single tones, intervals, keys, and tonalities to name but a few.

Color RingThe music is being analyzed in real time by the MADRIX music analysis. With the analysis of the tonality connections, the software relies on the ”Instructions in Level of Sound” by Paul Hindemith. Paul Hindemith (16 November 1895 – 28 December 1963) was a German composer, violinist, teacher, theorist, and conductor. He established the theoretical principals of the level of sound in modern music.

Possibilities

·

Moment analysis – The currently played music (at this instant) is being analyzed.

·

Time analysis – The tone theoretical parameter is being observed over a certain period of time and statically appraised. For example: The key that was dominant during the last second will be displayed, or intervals are being shown, which were re-adapted during the last half second.

Basic tone analysis (Tonality).
Scale analysis to the accepted tonality (Major, Minor).
Analysis of intervals relatively to the accepted tonality.
Analysis of the absolute interval (distances between adjacent tones).
Single tones.
Number of single tones (max. 128).
Volume of single tones.
